Target, how do I love you? Let me count the ways. I have been anxiously awaiting february 5th so I can purchase all of my spring wardrobe courtesy of Target's Jason Wu diffusion collection. I've also been (uncharacteristically) carefully counting my pennies to ensure that I won't go into debt to get my greedy little paws on all the things I want for myself. I've posted my favorite looks from the lookbook above, and you had better believe that all of these will be in my possession! I heard about the Jason Wu capsule collection back when I was nursing my wounds after being so terribly burned by the Missoni x Target fiasco (all I wanted was their fleece throw blanket, and to this day am still without ;_; ) and didn't pay much mind to it until the lookbook came out and I instantly began salivating. Mr. Wu was inspired by french nu wave cinema in designing his collection and clearly had a doorway into my head to create all of my dream clothes. The collection has an emphasis on clean lines and sweet details, and a price point that never budges above $70. I've begun planning my attack for the pleated skirt ($29.99) a blush long-sleeved blouse ($34.99) the white sheer long-sleeved blouse with black bow seen above on the top right ($34.99) a poplin navy dress ($39.99) long sleeved striped sweater above on the top left ($32.99) and the pleated shift dress on the lower left ($39.99)
I love everything about this collection, down to the styling of the ad and lookbook models with amazing milkmaid braids and sweet socks with brogues. The whole look is so achievable and the shapes are universally flattering with the fit and flare style of the skirts and dresses.Wu has also included a phenomenal range of accessories for his line including the most precious black cat mascot named Milu who is featured on his product and his advertising. I haven't been this excited for a Target line since Erin Fetherston did her line all the way back in 2007 (!)
I know, I know. So precious I could keel over and die right now. I will most certainly be diligently refreshing Target's website into the wee hours of the morning on February 5th. I will go to work sleepy, but victorious!
